Copy Practice

Use the Copy Practice feature to create a new practice that inherits its configuration from a source practice. Inherited configurations include the following considerations:

  • The Provider Portal features and tabs accessible to practice users
  • The patient class and document status rules configured for the practice
  • The document types authorized for the practice
  • The provider type routing rules configured for the practice
  • The practice users' log-in landing page

Review the following points about the Copy Practice feature:

  • To be available for copying, a template group and its associated roles must be configured by an authorized portal administrator and flagged as a source practice.
  • The Copy Practice feature requires permissions available to only authorized administrators.
  • The Copy Practice feature creates a new portal practice. You cannot use it to create an EMR-interfaced practice group.
  • You can define multiple source practices. Ensure that a selected source practice has the configuration intended for the new practice.
