Flowsheets

Flowsheets is an optional feature that your health system can enable in the patient portal. If enabled, the Flowsheets feature is accessed from the Health Care Documents list in the menu bar.

Export Flowsheet to Microsoft Excel 

Access Flowsheets

Flowsheets is an optional feature that your health system can enable in the patient portal. If enabled, the Flowsheets feature is accessed from the Health Care Documents list in the menu bar.

Create Category Flowsheet

Complete the following steps to create a category flowsheet:

  1. Access Flowsheets.
  2. Select Category Flowsheet View.
  3. Select a category from the Category list.
  4. Select a Date Filter, either Date Range and enter Begin Date and End Date (or leave blank), or Time Period and select a Time Period from the list.
  5. Select a Sort filter, Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest.
  6. Select Yes or No for Aggregate.
    • If you select Yes, similar test results from all test locations (Sources) are grouped and displayed in one row. The flowsheet will not contain a Source column. Aggregate tests are considered equivalent for flowsheet viewing only.
    • If you select No, similar test results from multiple test locations (Sources) are grouped by Source and displayed in multiple rows. The flowsheet will contain a Source column.
  7. Select Apply to create flowsheet.
  8. If you want to temporarily clear your filters, select Clear.
  9. If you want to save your filters, select Save. Your saved filters will default the next time you access Flowsheets.
  10. If you want to permanently clear your saved filters, select Clear then Save. Otherwise, your saved filters will still be active the next time you access Flowsheets.

Create Panel Flowsheet

Complete the following steps to create a panel flowsheet:

  1. Access Flowsheets.
  2. Select Panel Flowsheet View.
  3. Select a panel from the Panel list.
  4. Select a Date Filter, either Date Range and enter Begin Date and End Date (or leave blank), or Time Period and select a Time Period from the list.
  5. Select a Sort filter, Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest.
  6. Select Apply to create flowsheet.
  7. If you want to temporarily clear your filters, select Clear.
  8. If you want to save your filters, select Save. Your saved filters will default the next time you access Flowsheets. 
  9. If you want to permanently clear your saved filters, select Clear then Save. Otherwise, your saved filters will still be active the next time you access Flowsheets.

View Test Results

Abnormal test results are displayed in red. Normal test results are displayed in black.

Complete the following steps to view test result details and comments:

  1. Create a Category Flowsheet or Panel Flowsheet.
  2. Select a test result. The system displays Observation Date and Time, Test Code, Test Name, Value (Units), Lab Range, and Comments. 
  3. Select the test result details box to close.

View Test Results in Graph Format

Abnormal test results are displayed in red. Normal test results are displayed in black.

Complete the following steps to view and save test results in graph format:

  1. Create a Category Flowsheet or Panel Flowsheet.
  2. Select the graph button to view the test results row in graph format. 
  3. If you want to save the graph, select Save as .PDF. Complete any browser-specific steps to save the .PDF.
  4. Click or tap the upper-right corner of the graph box to close. 

View Health Information from MedlinePlus 

The link to MedlinePlus is available with Category Flowsheet View only. It is not available with Panel Flowsheet View. 

Complete the following steps to view health information from MedlinePlus

  1. Create a Category Flowsheet.
  2. Select the MedlinePlus icon  in a test row to find information about the test. MedlinePlus Connect opens on a new tab in your browser. Information related to the selected test is displayed. 
  3. If an exact match is not found, you can input information and search MedlinePlus.
  4. If you want to print a MedlinePlus page, select Print
  5. If you want to close a MedlinePlus page, select X on the browser tab.

Export Flowsheet to Microsoft Excel

Complete the following steps to export a flowsheet to Microsoft Excel:

  1. Create a Category Flowsheet or Panel Flowsheet.
  2. Select Export to Excel (above column header row). The results are exported to an Excel worksheet.
